When my first child was a baby I conducted a baby storytime at a local library. It was there that I commiserated with new moms, exchanged stories and advice, and made lifelong friends. It was a chance to get out of the house and be with our babies in a safe space. We would arrive sweaty and flustered, but soon relax into our routine, and then stay and chat while the children played for long after the books and songs were over. Here is a week of storytimes at the libraries on Mount Desert Island and beyond for you to explore with your family.
